We want shopping at Misfit to be as pain free as possible – if you have a problem with something you’ve ordered, or have simply changed your mind, please read the following.
Please only send back with a completed Misfit Returns Form (you can download one here). Not including one is likely to result in a delay processing your exchange/refund. If you have any other questions not answered below then please mail us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
In order to keep the shipping costs you have to pay to a minimum, we use various different couriers depending on what and where we are sending. As such, please allow 3-5 working days for your order to arrive before contacting us (7-14 days for overseas orders).
Our cut-off time for shipping on the day of order is usually 2pm, and we don’t ship or deliver at the weekend or on bank holidays. If you require expedited delivery, please contact us before ordering.
Most orders will be sent using a recorded ‘signed for’ service, so somebody will need to be at the delivery address to accept the package.
If you’re not 100% satisfied with your purchase you can return your goods for whatever reason, provided we get them back within 28 days and in perfect original sale-able condition. Damaged, worn, modified items will not be refundable.
We offer a refund or exchange service, but we can’t refund your original or return postage costs if you have simply changed your mind.
We advise keeping your goods in their original packaging while you make your mind up, so that nothing accidental happens to damage them. Boards need to be ungripped, with no stickers etc. applied
Here’s what you need to do:
1. Download the Misfit Returns Form.
2. Fill out the Returns Form as fully and clearly as possible, and state whether you prefer a refund or an exchange.
3. Please ship your Goods and Returns Form in the post to us. We’re not responsible for returns in transit, so please use a recorded service to make sure they arrive safely. We recommend Royal Mail’s ‘Signed For’ service for smaller items, also myhermes.co.uk for decks as they’re generally the cheapest.
4. If you are returning items from outside of the EU, please write on the outside of the package ‘Returned goods, relief applied for.’ to avoid any unnecessary customs charges.
We will generally issue a refund or replacement the same day we receive the return. We may have to contact you if we have a query regarding your return, so please make sure your contact details are correct. It’s really not our fault if you get your own phone number or e-mail address wrong (you’d be amazed how often it happens).
Our 28-day policy applies to faulty goods too. If you feel your item is faulty, please mail us images in the first instance to save you unnecessary return costs (email@example.com). For example, a deck where the laminates have separated is likely to be a manufacturing defect, whereas a snap across the truck bolts is likely to be a heavy landing and would be classed as normal wear and tear.
All items returned as faulty will be inspected by us in the first instance, and if we are unsure we may then need to return them to the manufacturer – rest assured we deal with these matters as swiftly and fairly as we possibly can.
If you want to cancel your order please notify us ASAP.
If cancelled before your order ships we will of course issue a full refund upon your instruction. Cut-off time for shipping is usually 2pm, and we don’t ship or deliver at the weekend or on bank holidays.
If you notify us that you wish to cancel your order after it’s been shipped out we will not refund the original shipping cost on your order and you may also incur an additional return-to-sender fee if it is issued by the courier or postal service used for your delivery. This return to sender fee is usually the same cost as your original postage charge but it can vary.
In the case of a late cancellation we will refund you for the cancelled order minus the original shipping cost and return to sender fee once the cancelled order has arrived back to our warehouse and has been processed and checked accordingly. At this point we will notify you by email of the exact charges to be deducted from your refund, to the email address that you supplied us with on your original order.
Once your refund is actioned by us please allow 3-5 working days for the funds to be available again in your account.
